FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Scenic Jeep run and Jeep-only Show & Shine will bring Jeep owners from Northern California and Western Nevada to the Comstock.

Virginia City, Nevada — March 15, 2026 — Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural 601 VC Jeep Stampede, a historic Jeep run and show taking place June 13, 2026 in Virginia City, Nevada. Hosted by the 601 Vigilance Committee, the event will bring Jeep owners from across Northern California and Western Nevada together for a scenic tour through the historic Comstock region followed by a Jeep-only Show & Shine.

The scenic Jeep run begins in Sparks and travels across the Comstock region, where sights along the route include dramatic mountain passes, historic silver-mining roads, abandoned mines, ancient petroglyph sites dating back to the 1800s, and open country where wild horses still roam. Participants will experience stream crossings, classic high-desert terrain, and sweeping views of the Nevada landscape. The route is designed for beginner-level Jeep trails and is limited to the first 25 Jeeps.

After the scenic run, the historic Fair Grounds in Virginia City become the Official Stampede Show Grounds for a Jeep-only Show & Shine featuring prizes, raffles, vendors, and a no-host bar. The Show & Shine begins when the town’s iconic High Noon sirens sound across the city.

Set against the backdrop of wooden boardwalks, historic saloons, and the rugged mining roads of the Comstock Lode, the event celebrates the spirit of exploration that helped shape the American frontier.

All proceeds support the Comstock community through the stewardship of the 601 Vigilance Committee, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting historic Virginia City through charitable events and community engagement.

Scenic Jeep Run registration is $125 per Jeep and includes entry into the Show & Shine. Show & Shine only registration is $25.

A limited number of 10' × 10' vendor spaces are available for $100. Local food vendors and 4x4 vendors are encouraged to participate.

Spectators are welcome. Participants, vendors, and spectators can learn more and reserve space online at www.601vc.org.
