601 VC Jeep Stampede
Historic Roads. High Desert. Legendary Town.
Hosted by the 601 Vigilance Committee, the 601 VC Jeep Stampede is a one-of-a-kind historic Jeep event set in one of the most legendary towns in the American West.
A scenic Jeep run followed by an epic, Jeep-only Show & Shine.
Against the backdrop of wooden boardwalks, rugged mining roads, and the wide-open Nevada high desert, Jeep owners, families, and supporters come together for a day of adventure, heritage, and fun.
Participants will experience a scenic tour through the Comstock region that celebrates the spirit of exploration that built the American frontier. The route travels through dramatic mountain passes, historic silver-mining roads, abandoned mines, ancient petroglyph sites dating back to the 1800s, and open country where wild horses still roam. The trail includes stream crossings and classic high-desert terrain and is suitable for beginner-level Jeep trails.
The Jeep run from Sparks to Virginia City is limited to the first 25 Jeeps.
After the scenic run, the historic Fair Grounds in Virginia City become the Official Stampede Show Grounds for a Jeep-only Show & Shine featuring prizes, raffles, vendors, and a no-host bar. The Show & Shine begins when the town’s iconic High Noon sirens sound across Virginia City.
All proceeds support the Comstock community through the stewardship of the 601 Vigilance Committee, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
